CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

Charleston police are asking for the public's help in locating a suspect wanted for a W. Ashley burglary.

According to an affidavit, 49-year-old Terry Johnson is wanted on a warrant for second-degree burglary.

Investigators say Johnson and 56-year-old Marvin Green stole a washer and dryer from an apartment on Parklawn Drive on November 6 around 11 p.m. Green has since been arrested and charged.

The two suspects were pulled over 30 minutes later after they were spotted driving at the intersection of Pixley and Butte Streets while in possession of the appliances, police say.

Johnson reportedly gave officers his brother's name and birth date in an attempt to conceal his identity, the affidavit states.

If you have any information on the whereabouts Johnson, call Crime Stoppers at 843-554-1111.
