NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston police say one suspect has been arrested and another is sought after a search warrant uncovered over 300 grams of cocaine, a gun, and more than $5,100 in cash inside a home.
Matthew Campbell, 21, was arrested Wednesday and charged with trafficking cocaine, trafficking cocaine base, possession of cocaine and cocaine base with the intent to distribute within close proximity of a school, possession of a stolen handgun, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime. He is being held at the Charleston County Detention Center on an $800,000 bond.
His brother, 30-year-old Terrell Campbell, is wanted on warrants for the same charges.
According to a release, Charleston Police Department Special Investigations Unit and Team One Community Action Team executed a search warrant Wednesday at 2300 Birdie Garrett Street in the Rosemont neighborhood.
Authorities say they confiscated about 309 grams of cocaine, 39 grams of cocaine base, more than $5,100 in cash, and a handgun. The gun was reported stolen from Hanahan.
