William Koopman comes out on top in commissioner runoff election

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - William Koopman came out on top with about 53 percent of the votes in the race for Commissioner of Public Works in the City of Charleston.

His opponent, Catherine LaFond, got about 47 percent.

The race had a small turnout with about 3 percent of all registered voters in the city.
