TUSCALOOSA, AL (RNN) - Georgia State played close early on, but Alabama pulled away and won 75-58.

With the win, the Crimson Tide (3-1) will face No. 6 Duke in the semifinals of the NIT preseason tournament in Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, Nov. 27.

The score was 19-19 in the middle of the first half - but Alabama pulled away and eventually led by 19 during the game. The Tide never let the Georgia State Panthers (2-2) back in front in the second half and won by 17 points.

Senior guard Trevor Releford had 19 points and six rebounds in the game for Alabama. Georgia State's highest scorer came off the bench  guard Rashaad Richardson scored 16 points for the Panthers.

The Crimson Tide's next game will be in the NIT preseason semifinals against the Duke Blue Devils on Nov. 27.

    A James Island family, hoping to catch their flight to Israel on Friday, is anxiously waiting for the Federal Aviation Administration to lift its ban. On Wednesday, the FAA extended the restriction of all U.S. flights to Tel Aviv for another 24 hours. The ban went into effect Tuesday after a rocket landed just a mile from Israel's busiest airport in Tel Aviv.
