COLLEGE STATION, TX (RNN) - After trading the lead with Prairie View A&M several times for the first six minutes of the game, Texas A&M pulled away and held on to win 75-65.

The Aggies (4-0) limited the Panthers (1-3) to 26 points in the first half, but Prairie View bounced back after halftime, outscoring Texas A&M 39-35. But it wasn't enough to top the Aggies, who made 27 of their 38 free throws.

Alex Caruso led the Aggies with 15 points, four assists and six steals.

Texas A&M faced some trouble at the 3-point line, only sinking two of their 13 attempts. The Panthers made nine of their 23 attempts, which helped cut their deficit in the last few minutes of the game.

The Aggies are 4-0 for the first time since the 2009-10 season. They move on to host Sam Houston State University on Sunday, Nov. 24.
