CHARLESTON, SC -
The College of Charleston will be among the eight-team field for the 2014 Puerto Rico Tip-Off along with Boston College, Connecticut, Dayton, George Mason, New Mexico, Texas A&M and West Virginia to be held on Nov. 20, 21 & 23, 2014, in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The Cougars are one of four teams to make their second appearance at the tournament (2007) next to Dayton (2009), George Mason and West Virginia (2010).
The eighth annual Puerto Rico Tip-Off will showcase 12 games over three days. Each team will compete in one game per day, advancing through a bracketed-tournament format. The undefeated teams after the first two days of competition will face off in the championship game on Sunday, Nov. 23.
Previous winners of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off include: Miami (Fla.) in 2007, Xavier in 2008, Villanova in 2009, Minnesota in 2010, Alabama in 2011 and Oklahoma State in 2012. The 2013 champion will be crowned on Sunday, Nov. 24 at 6:30 p.m. (ET) on ESPN2.
