Thursday highs to hit mid 60s with cloudy skies

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Live 5 Meteorologist Justin Lock has your Thursday forecast:

A warming trend begins today but really turns up tomorrow before another blast of cold air arrives starting Sunday.

Today, cloudy skies will be in place all day with a slight chance for a light shower or sprinkle at anytime.  Highs will be close to normal at 66° inland and along the coast.

Tonight, cloudy skies will again yield a slight chance for a shower.  Lows will fall into the mid 50s inland and upper 50s on the coastline.

Friday, expect a sun and cloud mix with temps in the 70s!



Tropical Storm Melissa is out over the middle of the Atlantic ocean and will stay out to sea.  Otherwise, things are quiet in the Atlantic basin as hurricane season wraps up at the end of this month.
