Weekend temps to hit mid 70s before Sunday cooldown

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Live 5 Meteorologist Justin Lock has your weekend forecast:

Warm air is surging into the Lowcountry ahead of another cold blast scheduled for Sunday.

Today, morning fog will give way to partly and mostly sunny skies with highs well above normal in the mid 70s inland and upper 60s on the coastline.

Tonight, expect partly cloudy and mild weather with lows in the upper 50s inland and near 60 on the beach.

Saturday we'll see a mix of sun and clouds with a slight chance for a late afternoon shower.

A big cooldown arrives Sunday!

Tropical Storm Melissa is out over the middle of the Atlantic ocean and will stay out to sea. Otherwise, things are quiet in the Atlantic basin as hurricane season wraps up at the end of this month.
