FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - Two people are facing charges after Florence City Police say they found a small amount of marijuana and cocaine in an apartment, along with a 10-day-old baby.

Investigators obtained a warrant to search an apartment on South Church Street, according to Major Carlos Raines with Florence Police. Police believed drugs were being used in the home.

On Thursday, officers went in and found the drugs, and a 10-day-old baby, Major Raines said. The Department of Social Services was contacted and the baby was turned over to them.

21-year-old Ciara Davis and 27-year-old Braford Wilson were arrested and charged with unlawful neglect of a child, according to police records. Wilson was also charged with possession of marijuana and cocaine.

One of Davis's family members took custody of the baby from DSS, Major Raines said.
