Deputies: Two arrested in Colleton County fatal shooting

COLLETON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Colleton County Sheriff's Office has arrested two men in connection to a fatal shooting early Wednesday morning in Colleton County.

Authorities arrested 26-year-old Tequan Brown and 29-year-old Lawrenzer Walker Friday.

Deputies responded to Brights Court around 4:43 a.m. in referenced to three shot fired in the area and a man lying in the front yard unresponsive.

Authorities say the victim was taken to Colleton Medical Center where he later died.

Investigators with the Sheriff's Office say Brown got into an argument with the victim and shot the victim multiple times.

According to deputies, Brown is charged with 1st degree murder, obstructing justice and possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime. Officials are charging Walker with obstructing justice.

We want the family of the victim to know that our thoughts and prayers are with them. I would like to thank my team of Investigators who have spent the last few days endlessly following leads and ultimately finding the man responsible for this horrific crime," said Sheriff R.A. Strickland.

This incident is still under investigation with the Colleton County Sheriff's Office.
