CDC data shows ADHD diagnosis on the rise

(CNN) – The number of children diagnosed with Attention-Deficit-Hyperactivity disorder is on the rise.

That's according to new data from the Centers for Disease Control.

There's been a 42 percent increase in the number of reported cases of ADHD since 2003.

The CDC-led study was published in the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
