Vehicle crashes into James Island gas station

JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - A store clerk was injured after a car crashed into the Kangaroo Gas Station on James Island Saturday night, according to the Charleston County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies were called out to the gas station located at the intersection of Camp and Folly Roads.

Authorities say a vehicle had driven through the front of the store, causing damage to the store front, coffee and drink counter and other store displays.

Deputies at the scene say the driver and store clerk were both taken to MUSC and their conditions are unknown at this time.

The cause of the accident is under investigation with the Charleston County Sheriff's Office Traffic Enforcement Unit.
