One person injured after containers fall at Georgetown chemical plant

GEORGETOWN, SC (WCSC) - Emergency officials say one person has been injured after four 55-gallon drums fell over at a chemical plant in Georgetown Tuesday night.

According to Georgetown Emergency Management officials, the incident happened at the 3V chemical plant on Woodstock Street.

Officials say crews have contained spillage from the containers, and there was no contamination outside of the plant.

The victim was transported to the hospital.
