Police: Vehicle shot multiple times in North Charleston

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Authorities say a Nissan was shot at multiple times in North Charleston early Friday morning.

The North Charleston Police Department says the incident happened around 2:15 a.m. on Northwoods Blvd.

According to police, the victim exited the interstate onto Ashley Phosphate Road when he reported hearing popping sounds.

Police say the victim made a u-turn onto Northwoods Blvd. and noticed an SUV following quickly behind him and more shots being fired from the vehicle.

Investigators say the Nissan was struck three times, but the victim was not injured in the shooting.

Police have not identified a suspect in this shooting.
