NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

Police have arrested two people after investigators found a meth lab at a North Charleston home on Monday.

The North Charleston Police Department charged 29-year-old Catherine Deloris Hutson and 28-year-old Steven Michalel James with manufacturing methamphetamine and disposal of waste from the production of meth.

Shortly before noon on Monday, officers responded to a home on 3321 Dublin Road in reference to meth chemicals in a trash can.

Investigators say a bottle was located consistent with the cooking of meth. The two suspects were then detained.

Hutson told police that she and her boyfriend were cooking meth in Goose Creek Sunday night, then came to the home on Dublin Road to cook more.
