ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Orangeburg County deputies say the third and final suspect accused of taking part in the three hour beating of a Midlands man has been arrested.

Jose Antonio Rodriquez, Jr., 21, was arrested in Greenwood County Tuesday and charged with first-degree assault and battery.

Authorities say Rodriquez, along with 24-year-old Bryan Lee Rider and 33-year-old Jeremy Raymond Arnold, beat a Cordova man for three hours on November 10. Investigators say the suspects fought the victim over food.

Reports state Rider beat the victim with a potato that was stuffed inside a sock while Rodriquez and Arnold kicked the victim in his head and body.

The 25-year-old victim was hospitalized due to great bodily injury, officials say.

All three suspects are in custody.
