Riley, Campbell being honored by leadership group

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Charleston Mayor Joseph P. Riley Jr. is being honored for the leadership he has shown South Carolina.

Riley is one of three South Carolinians to be honored on Wednesday at the Fourth Annual Dick & Tunky Riley Legacy of Leaders event for their contributions to the state.

State Sen. Paul Campbell and North Charleston attorney Tiffany Spann-Wilder are also being honored at the event in Charleston. The awards are sponsored by Leadership South Carolina, the state's oldest and largest leadership development organization.

Past honorees include former Gov. Dick Riley, U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham and Jim "Soni" Sonefeld of the rock band Hootie and the Blowfish.
