Guns, vehicle titles & credit cards stolen from James Island home

JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - Authorities have arrested a 25-year-old man in connection to the theft of several guns and vehicle titles from a home on James Island.

The Charleston County Sheriff's Office arrested 25-year-old Trey Corbin Pittman of Johns Island on Friday and charged him with first-degree burglary.

On Thursday morning, deputies responded to a home on Sterling Drive for a report of a break-in with several guns stolen.

The victim said his son came home around 3 pm. and found the home had been broken into.

A witness reported seeing a man inside a truck which was parked in front of the victim's house. According to the witness, another man, wearing a backpack, was spotted coming from the back of the house carrying a camo colored blanket.

An incident report states the man then got into the vehicle which then left the area.

The victim said that the four guns that were stolen were valued at $6100. In addition, the suspects also stole $3,000 in cash, a brief case with vehicle titles and some credit and debit cards.
