CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Authorities say a man who was threatening to harm himself and others has surrendered to deputies following a standoff in West Ashley Saturday afternoon.
According to Major Eric Watson with the Charleston County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called out to a home in the area of Furman Drive and Ashley River Road for a domestic dispute among family members.
Watson says the suspect then barricaded himself in the home, and threatened to hurt himself and others.
The suspect later agreed to exit the home after speaking with CCSO negotiators, Watson says.
The incident is still under investigation.
