LADSON, SC (WCSC) - Investigators say crews discovered two meth labs in Dorchester County on Monday.
One of the meth labs was located in Summerville on Wendy Way off Jamison Road.
"It's surprising that it could be just this close to your house," says a neighbor. "Just living here and not knowing right next door there's things going on."
The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office and Drug Enforcement removed several meth making materials inside the home, like plastic bottles and chemicals.
"I was scared. Just hearing the typical things about it, the things you see on television and what not, things could blow up. You can get sick. People die. Things like that. It's very alarming."
Neighbors reported that they saw an increased amount of traffic to that home. No homes had to be evacuated. A man was taken into custody while officials were on scene, however, no details about his connection have been released.
Investigators say a narcotics tip led them to the duplex.
Another meth lab was located at a home on Harrison Road in Ladson.
