Orangeburg fugitive wanted since 2005, located in New York

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office says a fugitive wanted since 2005 was located by investigators in New York.

According to the sheriff's office, the U.S. Marshal New York/New Jersey Regional Task Force arrested Joseph Blakely Jones this past Wednesday.

Jones had an outstanding warrant in Orangeburg County for failure to register as a sex offender in 2005.

Jones was included in a May 2013 press release after investigators conducted a compliance check in April 2013 of registered Sex Offenders in the county.
