WASHINGTON, Dec. 16, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Building on the success of the 2013 Emerging Technologies Symposium held this past June, the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association Washington, D.C. Chapter (AFCEA DC) recently appointed the 2014 Co-Chairs of the Defense & Security Emerging Technologies Working Group - charged with continuing the organization's efforts to foster collaboration between the public and private sector, while creating an ethical forum for discussions, education, and programming around emerging technology issues.
Tom Greiner of Accenture Federal Services (www.accenturefederal.com), Carlo Espiritu of Triple Point Security (www.triplepointsecurity.com), and Sean Singleton of Oglethorpe Capital, LLC. (www.oglethorpe–capital.com) will lead the Defense & Security Emerging Technologies Working Group (ETWG), under the direction of the AFCEA DC Board of Directors.
The FY2014 ETWG calendar begins on December 19th with a breakfast panel featuring Steve Dennis, Innovation Director, HSARPA, Science & Technology Directorate, for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Mr. Dennis is the first ETWG guest speaker in a series of thought leaders from across the public and private sector. Registration is required.
The ETWG group is a volunteer organization that is seeking new participants from military, government, industry and academia to join in the AFCEA DC ethical forum discussions that embody the creation and commercialization of new, innovative technologies that can benefit end users across both the public and private sector.
