Charleston police searching for vehicle involved in downtown hit-and-run

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

The Charleston Police Department is on the lookout for a car that was involved in a hit-and-run that injured one person in downtown.

The incident happened on Dec. 1 at the intersection of Highway 17 and Spring Street.

Authorities say a car hit a motorcyclist who was traveling west on Spring Street. The motorcyclist sustained injuries in the incident. 

According to police, following the collision, the car left the area and left a part on the scene.

A report states that the part belongs to a 1998-2001 dark emerald green pearl-in-color- 4-door Honda Accord.

The car sustained damage to its rear bumper.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
