More shoppers expected on final weekend before Christmas

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - If you consider yourself a last-minute shopper, you're not alone.

According to Shoppertrak, a professional firm that analyzes shopping patterns, Saturday is expected to be among the busiest shopping days of the holiday season so far.

Retailers nationwide have altered their strategies, offering incentives throughout the weekend to lure in more shoppers. Stores like Kohl's and Toys R' Us will have their doors open non-stop, well into Christmas Eve.

Kohl's will remain open 100 hours straight, which began 6 o'clock Friday morning.

Open a consecutive 87 hours, Toys R' Us will also join the holiday marathon, beginning at 6 o'clock Saturday morning.

"It'll make it easier for people that are getting off work," said Jeffrey Knowles, who spent Friday evening in Citadel Mall looking to strike off the remaining items on his holiday shopping list.

For a complete list of holiday hours, individual stores have posted the revised hours on their official website.
