MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - Quite a few last-minute shoppers are trying to get everything on their Christmas lists and parking lots are packed. But are the hottest toys still on the shelves?

Christmas Eve shoppers played bumper cars in mall parking lots in a race against time.

"Trying to get just a few more presents out there," said Rosie Rice.

Arianne Cousin, Wolfchase Galleria spokesperson, says people are searching for deals.

"To check for things to be a little cheaper," she said.

Others did not intend to wait so late.

"Because I like to procrastinate and I'm getting something for my wife today," said Jim Hudgens.

The hot items this season include Michael Jordan Gamma 11 sneakers, Xbox Ones and Playstation 4. But many shoppers had to resort to the old models.

Cousin says some items are less likely to sell out.

"Things from Victoria Secret, Bath & Body Works fragrances. Shoes are big. Boots, pumps," said Cousin.

Some were not looking for the next best thing. And others were just there to provide moral support.

"I usually get suits for the boys," said Karen Tamer.

Some are just there to give their wives moral support.

"Best thing for us to do it sit and wait because you never know where y'all are going to end up at," said Willie Smith, who was waiting on his wife.

Wolfchase closes at 6 p.m., but they have more than 200 gift cards to choose from.

Here is a list of store hours for Christmas Eve:

- Best Buy, Kohl's and Macy's are open until 6 p.m.

- Carriage Crossing, Oak Court and Wolfchase malls are open until 6 p.m.

- Walmart is closing at 8 p.m.

- Toys R Us is open until 9 p.m.

- Target is staying open until 10 p.m.
