Firefighters keep damage to a minimum during Christmas Eve house fire

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – A small house fire gave some residence a big scare on Christmas Eve.

Crews from the New Hanover County Fire Department responded to the corner of Quail Woods and Murrayville Roads around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

According to Battalion Chief Pinson, smoke was coming out of the back of the house when the fire crews arrived.

They were able to put the fire out quickly and keep the damages to a minimum. There were no injuries associated with the fire.

An investigation was conducted to determine the cause of the fire, but those results are not available yet.
