Beaufort Co. deputies investigating two Christmas day shootings

BEAUFORT COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

Beaufort County deputies are investigating two early morning Christmas day shootings that sent two victims to the hospital.

Deputies say the first shooting took place around 1:05 a.m. on Spann Circle in the Sheldon Community.

According to a release, the victim and a witness were at a party at a club behind 115 Spann Circle when an unknown suspect began firing an automatic weapon. The 22-year-old victim, who was able to make his way to the Shelton Fire Department, was shot in the buttocks and later transported to Beaufort Memorial Hospital.

Deputies say four vehicles were struck by the gunfire, resulting in about $7,000 in damages.

While at the scene of the Spann Circle shooting, deputies say gunshots were heard in the area of Keans Neck Road around 1:56 a.m.

Officials say a 24-year-old was shot in the lower back after a man in a brown truck fired multiple shots into the victim's vehicle.

The victim was transported to Beaufort Memorial Hospital, and then to MUSC for treatment.

If you have any information on these shootings, call Crime Stoppers at 843-554-1111.
