ALBERTVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Authorities are investigating a shooting that happened Friday morning in Albertville.

Police responded to a mobile home at the intersection of Dick Road and Rice Mill Chavers Road. The shooting reportedly happened around 6:30 a.m.

Investigators said it appeared a man and woman shot each other. The man was transported by MedFlight to Huntsville Hospital. The woman is currently being treated at Marshall Medical Center South.

Chief Doug Pollard said it appeared that the couple had gotten into an argument about thirty minutes before the shooting. Pollard said that the man was shot three times, once to the back of the head, one in the back, and one in the back of the arm. He said the woman had one gunshot wound to her leg.

No names have been released at this time. Pollard is expecting criminal charges to be filed.
