Suspect sought in Hilton Head Island hotel armed robbery

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - Berkeley County deputies are investigating a Thursday morning armed robbery at a Hilton Head Island hotel.

According to a release, the suspect walked into the employee's office of Metropolitan Hotel around 6:16 a.m. and told a clerk he had a gun and to give him all the money.

The victim told officials the suspect did not show a gun, but did have what was believed to be a gun in his right pocket.

After receiving the money, the suspect grabbed a laptop from the hotel and left, the report states.

The suspect is described as a black male between the ages of 32 and 40 years old, approximately 5'10" and 150 pounds. He was wearing black saggy sweat pants with cargo pockets, a black top, and a black "skull" cap.
