MT. PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - A well known restaurant in Mt. Pleasant remains closed Monday after a weekend fire burned the outside of the building, according to the restaurant owner.
Carter's Kitchen owner Mike Russo says the fire happened around 2 a.m. Sunday when a fire broke out on the outside of the restaurant.
According to Russo, the outside of the restaurant received extensive damage, but the inside suffered only smoke damage.
Russo says Carter's Kitchen will be closed temporarily and he plans to reopen on Jan. 8.
