NCFD: Family of 3, 4 dogs escape N. Charleston house fire

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A family of three was able to get of their North Charleston home safely after a fire broke out Friday morning, officials say.

The North Charleston Fire Department responded to a structure fire at a home on Annette Street just after 8 a.m. Firefighters arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the one story home.

Officials say a caller reported the fire coming from a heating unit.

According to a release, firefighters put out the flames and rescued four dogs from the home.

No injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation.
