Crews respond to house fire on Nassau St.

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston Fire Department responded to a structure fire Sunday night on Nassau Street. Dispatchers say the fire happened at a duplex home between Line and Columbus Streets.

The first floor of the building caught fire around 6 p.m. and smoke could be seen coming from the apartment.

According to fire officials, crews were able to get the blaze under control in approximately 15 minutes.

No one was injured. The flames and smoke were contained to the first floor.

The fire department is investigating.
