ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Anderson County deputies said a man who robbed a local convenience store while covered in camouflage has been arrested and charged Tuesday.

Deputies said Ronald Steven House Sr. was taken into custody in connection with the Jan. 9 robbery at the Hickory Point at 5503 Highway 187.

The clerk said the robber came in pointing a semi-automatic handgun and demanded the cash from the registers and his cell phone, according to deputies.

Deputies said the thief was wearing a full-body camouflage suit, a black mask with a white and green skull on the face and a camouflage stocking cap. They said he ran away toward Nunally Road, but they did not locate him.

No one was injured in the robbery, and the suspect got away with a phone and about $50, deputies said.

House is charged with armed robbery and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, according to deputies.

Deputies said House was taken into custody on an unrelated charged on Tuesday.

The sheriff's office thanked the community for tips and assistance identifying the suspect.
