NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) - North Charleston Police are investigating an early morning armed robbery at a convenience store on Friday.

North Charleston Police say the robbery happened just after 4 a.m. at the Circle K on West Montague Avenue at the corner of Dorchester Road. An employee told police she was in the cooler when she was approached by a man dressed in all black who stated, "Give me the money."

Police say the suspect presented a weapon and the clerk walked to the register and set the money tray on the counter.

Police say the suspect, who appeared to have long dreads, took the cash and was last seen running down Dorchester Road.

Back on December 24, 2013, police say there was an armed robbery at the same store, just after midnight. Authorities say the suspect went to the checkout line with beer, a battling toy robot and cigarettes, when he pulled out a gun from his waistband and demanded cash. Police arrested 52-year-old Arnold Lee Anderson after he admitted to the robbery.
