BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Authorities say a 25-year-old man was killed after his truck ran off the road and crashed into trees in Berkeley County.
Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury said Michael Jordan Thigpen of Lebanon died due to body trauma.
On Sunday at 12:30 a.m., Salisbury said Thigpen was traveling on Fish Road when his Chevy pickup truck ran off the right side of the roadway.
According to the coroner, the truck struck several trees, and entrapped Thigpen.
Thigpen was then extricated by the fire department and pronounced dead on the scene. The death has been ruled as an accident.
Salisbury said Thigpen was not wearing a seatbelt.
