Teen found dead under Chesterfield overpass

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) -

Police are investigating the body of a teenager found under a Chesterfield overpass Tuesday morning.

Eighteen-year-old Alyna Davis was discovered under the Dundas Road overpass around 4:30 a.m. by a security guard working for the Defense Supply Center of Richmond, according to Chesterfield Police. The teen was found near the North Gate of the federal agency on their property, according to a spokeswoman for DSCR,

Davis has no known affiliation with DSCR.

The DSCR has its own fire and EMS on staff, so crews were readily available. Davis was rushed to Chippenham Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Police say there were no signs of trauma to the body and have not yet determined a cause of death.

The Davis family declined an interview. According to her Facebook profile, Davis went to Meadowbrook High School then Chesterfield Community High School.

It also says she attended the University of Richmond, but an online student search did not show that Davis was currently enrolled.
