Deputies investigating after shots fired into W. Ashley home

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston County deputies are investigating after several gunshots were fired into a West Ashley home Thursday night.

Deputies say the incident took place at a home on Dogwood Road in the Pierpont neighborhood around 8:15 p.m.

According to an incident report, five bullets were fired into an occupied home, but no one was injured.

Victims inside the home told deputies a stock red Dodge Avenger was spotted driving slowly by the house both before and after the shooting. The victims said they never saw the vehicle before the day of the incident.

Deputies say five .40 caliber shell casings were found in the roadway. In addition to hitting the home, a car parked outside the home was also damaged.
