A St. Stephen woman accused of stealing of $80,0000 from a family dentistry she was working at was sentenced Wednesday after pleading guilty to charges.

According to the Ninth Judicial Circuit Solicitor's Office, 54-year-old Linda Branton Gregg was sentenced to 10 years suspended to 6 years in prison. She will then serve 3 years probation.

The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office in a joint investigation with the St. Stephen Police Department arrested in December 2011. Gregg was a former office manager at St. Stephen Family Dentistry and an office manager for the dental practice of the late Dr. Herbert Orvin.

After a two-month investigation, the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office took Gregg into custody for allegedly stealing over $80,000 from the family dentistry. Gregg also has a breach of trust over $4,000 when she was employed with now deceased Dr. Orvin, officials say.
