The Charleston Boat Show
The Charleston Boat Show is back for a 34th year at the Charleston Area Convention Center in North Charleston. This weekend you can check out all the latest and greatest when it comes to boats and boating technology. The show is open Saturday (10am - 7pm) and Sunday (11am - 5pm). Lowcountry Oyster Festival
If you're looking for a crowd on Sunday, head to Boone Hall Plantation for the Lowcountry Oyster Festival. About 80,000 pounds of oysters are ready to be shucked at the largest oyster festival in the world. The gates open at 10:00 a.m. and the event lasts until 5:00 p.m. But, you'll want to get there early since traffic can be a bit of a problem. Admission is $25 and kids get in free with a paid adult. You can buy food tickets starting at $2 to buy oysters, drinks, and other food. Be sure to bring your own oyster knives and gloves or you can buy them there. For more information, click here.
Taste of Folly
Even though it's not beach weather, you can still enjoy a day at Folly Beach. Head to the edge of America for the annual Taste of Folly this Saturday. Center Street shuts down from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. for the FREE festival. The event features a Chili Cook-Off, a Hot Dog Eating Contest, and live entertainment. To find out more, click here.
Middleton Place Braise and Brew
Middleton Place opens its doors Sunday evening for a 3-hour, 6-course dinner featuring braised food and seasonal beers. The 4th annual Braise and Brew Event features locally grown and produced food and drinks provided by Holy City Brewing Company. The dinner is from 6-9 p.m. Tickets are $85 and can be purchased here.
