ORANGEBURG, SC (WCSC) -

The State Law Enforcement Division says they have arrested and charged one man in connection with Friday's deadly shooting at South Carolina State University.

According to SLED, 19-year-old Justin Bernard Singleton of Charleston has been charged with the murder of Brandon Robinson. Singleton was taken into custody early Saturday morning in Orangeburg.

An arrest warrant states Singleton pulled out a gun and shot the victim during an argument outside of "K" Hall on the university's campus.

Officials say Robinson was transported to Orangeburg Regional Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the neck, where he was pronounced dead.

Singleton is currently behind bars at the Orangeburg-Calhoun Regional Detention Center. His bond was denied.
