Suspect sought for armed robbery at James Island gas station

JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - Investigators are on the lookout for a man who robbed a gas station on James Island.

On Sunday night, Charleston police responded to the Hess gas station on 1601 Harborview Rd. in reference to an armed robbery.

The store clerk said a man armed with a gun had robbed the business. According to the victim, the suspect entered the store, confronted him with a gun and forced him to the cash register.

The suspect then took an undermined amount of money as well as a pack of cigarettes, then took off.

Police are continuing the investigation.
