Four North Charleston apartments damaged by kitchen fire

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Four apartment units in North Charleston were damaged after a kitchen fire Wednesday afternoon.

The North Charleston Fire Department says they responded to reports of a structure fire at Fairwind-Oakfield Apartments just before 1:00 p.m.

Firefighters say the blaze was contained within ten minutes and the source was found to be a stove in the unit with the most damage.

The American Red Cross is assisting those who were displaced.
