Suspected drug dealers, fugitive arrested following search of hotel rooms

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

The North Charleston Police Department arrested several suspected drug dealers and a fugitive following a search of two rooms at a hotel in North Charleston.

Investigators say on Thursday, authorities conducted an investigation into an illegal drug complaint at the Economy Lodge on 5020 Rivers Ave.

According to police, investigators were able to obtain a search warrant for one room, and also arrest suspects from the original complaint in another room.

A police report states that one of the people arrested, Johnelle Reaves, had numerous warrants for his arrest through law enforcement agencies including the Charleston County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators seized heroin, cocaine base, MDMA/Ecstasy, marijuana with a total value of $1380.

The following people were arrested during the investigation:

Tiffanie Brooks - Simple possession of marijuana

Ashley Nicole Carpenter - Simple possession of marijuana

Danny Leon Miller - Simple possession of marijuana

Johnelle Reaves - Simple possession of marijuana, probation and parole warrants, CCSO arrest warrants

Yvonne Brown - Disorderly conduct, public intoxication

Santerio Bernard Smith - possession with intent to distribute cocaine base, possession with intent to distribute MMDA/ecstasy, possession of firearm by person convicted of crime of violence

Kurtrina Rocara Brown - PWID cocaine base, PWID MDMA/Ecstasy

Felshanti Shuler - PWID cocaine base, PWID MDMA/Ecstasy

Dominique Grant - PWID cocaine base, PWID MDMA/Ecstasy

Antonio Grant - PWID cocaine base, PWID MDMA/Ecstasy

    Charleston police are asking for the public's help to find a missing teenager.  Keyonna Latriece Felder, 16, was last seen at 1385 Ashley River Road in Apartment C on Sept. 17 at 1 p.m. She was last seen by her mother on Sept. 11.

    The Army Corps of Engineers has given the go-ahead for the planned expansion of Joe Riley Waterfront Park. DHEC and the Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management had already issued the state permits in May.
