NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) - Detectives have made an arrest in an apparent Craigslist deal gone bad that happened nearly two years ago, according to North Charleston Police.
In March of 2012, a man selling his Suzuki motorcycle was contacted over the phone in response to a Craigslist ad. The man and the suspect arranged a time for the two to meet so the suspect could see the motorcycle.
The men agreed to meet at Low country Harley Davidson on Dorchester Road at 8:30 p.m. on March 7, 2012. Police say Fernando Javier Wright pulled a gun of the seller and stole the motorcycle at the meeting.
Wright is charged with armed robbery, carjacking and possession of a weapon. He was already being held at the Berkeley County Jail on separate charges.
He was charged for the motorcycle theft today and transferred to the Charleston County Detention Center.
