WALTERBORO, SC (WCSC) -

Colleton County deputies say two men and a juvenile were arrested Thursday after crashing their vehicle into a day care center while fleeing from cops following an attempted drive-by shooting.

Quinton Brown, Tyrone Choice, and a juvenile have been charged with attempted murder, unlawful carrying of a firearm, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Authorities responded to South Memorial Street in Walterboro after hearing several gunshots coming from the area. Officers say they arrived to find a burgundy Mazda speeding away from the area.

After failing to stop for deputies, officials say the vehicle eventually wrecked into a day care center located at 1303 Rivers Street. One of the suspects attempted to run, but was later captured.

Deputies say a handgun was found near the wrecked vehicle.

Authorities say it was later discovered the three suspects drove by a home in the 300 block of South Memorial Street and opened fire at two individuals standing outside the residence.

No one was injured in the shooting. Property damage was reported.
