Berkeley Co. man accused of shooting man multiple times at nightclub

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

Officials with the Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office say they have arrested a Berkeley County man accused of shooting a man multiple times at a nightclub Saturday morning. 

Investigators charged 29-year-old Freddie A. Amous with attempted murder.

According to Sheriff Leroy Ravenell, officers were called to the Cornfield Club on Unity Road in Holly Hill around 2 a.m. on Saturday.

"When officers arrived they observed a 24-year-old Holly Hill man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds," Ravenell said. "While investigating the shooting, Freddie A. Amous approached officers and identified himself as the shooter."

Amous is currently being held on a $25,000 surety bond.
