GEORGETOWN, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston Police Department says one of two suspects arrested for a bank robbery in Georgetown earlier this week has now been charged for another in West Ashley.

On Monday morning, Georgetown investigators arrested Ryan Bonneau and Lenard Riley, both of Charleston, for a bank robbery in Georgetown Monday morning.

Investigators in Charleston announced on Thursday that Bonneau has also been charged for a bank robbery that happened last month in West Ashley.

According to police, at 11:28 a.m. on Feb. 4, two men armed with guns entered the First Federal Bank on Magwood Drive, demanded money from the tellers and left the bank.

Georgetown investigators say Bonneau and Riley robbed the Citizens Bank on 1510 Exchange Street Monday morning. Authorities say the two men were arrested in Georgetown at 11:30 a.m. following a traffic stop on St. James Street and US-17.

Investigators recovered stolen money, disguises and two handguns.

Georgetown investigators said on Monday that the Charleston Police Department also believed the suspects are responsible for a bank robbery in their jurisdiction.

According to the GPD, the suspects are also being investigated for another bank robbery in Georgetown at the Anderson Brothers Bank that happened in the morning of Feb. 12. In that incident authorities reported that two men armed with guns robbed the bank on North Fraser Street.

Both of the suspects have been locked up at the Georgetown County Detention Center.
