Georgetown County deputies say a 39-year-old man who kidnapped and robbed a victim at knifepoint last month has been arrested.
Jimmy Cagle of Georgetown has been charged with kidnapping, armed robbery, and robbery while armed with a deadly weapon. Cagle also has three active warrants for third-degree assault and battery.
Deputies say Cagle held a knife to his victim's throat and took the victim's wallet around 2:30 a.m. on February 6. The suspect then forced the victim to drive him to various locations around Georgetown while continuing to hold the knife to the victim's throat.
Officers say Cagle was able to get away before deputies arrived. The victim was not injured.
Cagle was arrested Monday around 11 a.m. after a citizen's tip led deputies to a home in the Sampit Community where Cagle was located, a release states.
Cagle is being held at the Georgetown County Detention Center.
