The Citadel's Moore Named Second Team All-Tournament

The Citadel's Ashton Moore was named second team all-tournament following the completion of the 2014 Southern Conference championship.

Moore, who averaged 24 points, four assists and 2.5 rebounds in guiding the Bulldogs to an appearance in the quarterfinals against eventual champion Wofford, became the first Citadel player since J'Mel Everhart to earn all-tournament honors.

The Suffolk, Va., product closed out the 2013-14 season with seven double-digit performances, including a career-high 35-point outing against Davidson on Feb. 17. He led the Bulldogs in scoring in SoCon play with 269 points (16.8 ppg).

The honor marks the fourth of the season for Moore who has also been named SoCon Player of the Week (Feb. 17), College Sports Madness SoCon Player of the Week (Nov. 18 / Feb. 24) and College Sports Madness All-SoCon second team.
