Second Chance Tucson to host job fair

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Thecoalition of non-profits, faith based, governmental, law enforcement andacademic groups that make up Second Chance Tucson provide people, just releasedfrom prison, a chance to integrate back into the community.

Accordingto a recent release about two-thirds of those released from prison will be backin prison within three years.  This highrate is damaging to families, destabilizes neighborhoods and can be expensivefor taxpayers, according to the release.

SecondChance's job fair will provide an opportunity for employers to find motivatedand qualified employees who are prepared to work and have a support system tohelp ensure their success. 

The fairis taking place on March 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the West Campus of PimaCommunity College.
